Meet "Portly Fred"...... Who is Dead!
Fred is a Skelly Dude who looks like he may have been a Zoot Suit-er in the 40's :)...Fred stands 13" tall and is hand sculpted from paper mache and clay. I made a wire armature for his arms and hands and covered them with clay. Fred it attached to a wood base. Yes, that's a chain hanging from Fred's pocket! Of course he's wearing a Felt Fidora, with a purple band and orange feather.
Please visit the EHAG Emporium to see Fred and all the other

My Wisteria

This plant has got to be one of Mother Nature's finest creations!
As you know every year I look forward to seeing the blooms, and this year did not disapoint me! Some of the flowers are 14" long, and the smell is so wonderful!!!
These pictures are just a small portion, It is HUGE and goes over along the top of our patio cover, with the flowers hanging down thru the slats. It also goes along our 10' long fence that devides the patio from the pool area. Several years ago, I went up into the mountains collecting fallen tree branches and long sticks to make an arbor to go across the gate opening. I wired the sticks together, and then wired them to the fence. I trained the Wisteria to go over the arbor, so now we have almost a solid wall of these beautiful Flowers!!!! I can't tell you what joy I get
from these awesome purple flowers hanging ever where!

Checking In.............LOL

Well after doing the show and battling a sinus infection (yuck),
I'm feeling better and ready to get back to work! I have so struggled with being creative the last few months. I'm not sure why, maybe just temporary "Burn Out", left over from the Holidays. Could be "Spring Fever" to..Here in Southern CA,the Weather has been just GORGEOUS, with the day temps reaching 75-80 degrees!
My Wisteria is starting to bloom, and that always makes me happy to see those beautiful lavender flowers hanging down
thru the slats in my patio cover. I'll post pictures once it's in full bloom.
I need to do my Spring Cleaning, but very hard with your husband home and plopped in his chair , watching TV...:) On a daily basis I have to remind him, he is retired, I am NOT.
My day's are just as busy as they've always been, only now I have the added pleasure of making lunch to, What's up with that?!..I have just barely got him to make his own breakfast!
I Love the Man dearly, I really do....But there are day's I long for him to go back to work, so my days are...just quiet! :)
