Halloween JOL (And Friends).....EHAG Emporium Update

This Happy fellow is wearing his finest Party Hat! He stands 12" tall (including his hat). He is made from a gourd to which I attached clay to, and sculpted his features. I then base coated him black, applied crackle medium, painted , aged and sealed him.
His hat is made from heavy paper mache. I have added a clay bat , and a spider who sits at the very top of his hat! What's Halloween without Bats & Spiders!!!
The Hat is not attached, for easier storage of the piece!
Price is $75 with FREE Shipping to the lower 48 States..
Be sure to check out all the Incredible Halloween Art on the EHAG Emporium!

The Wonder of a Hummingbird..and Joys of Friendship

This is the little Hummingbird that decided to build her nest on our patio. Watching her fly back and forth adding and adding more to the nest was quite something. Then last week she laid her eggs. I believe they lay 2 eggs.. Sometime next week they should hatch, and I will post a picture when I see the little birdies beaks in the air :)..
This is amazing to me, the branch her nest is on, is part of my Wisteria that is hanging below the top slats of the patio, and is about 4 ' outside our back door! She has gotten used to us coming in and out now, and will stay on her eggs when we go outside. I am enjoying this immensely, and makes me smile all day. I can even see her while I'm working!
My best Friend of 20 something years was here visiting last week. I only got to see her for a couple days, but anytime we can spend hanging out is GREAT! She moved away a few years ago,
and I have missed her so much..We talk on the phone several times a week and that does help, but I just miss her more than she even realizes! Every once in awhile in our lives, and if we are lucky, we meet someone who we just connect with immediately. My friend knows more about me and my life than any other human being does..and that includes my husband of 31 years. She has been there for me through all my ups and downs..and still likes me anyway :)..When she lived here still, and our kids were in school, we'd go out to breakfast, and invariably one of us would burst into tears over problems with our teens , or other issues in our lives..That went on for years..LOL...She used to go with me when I'd do a show, and we'd have the best time! Only problem we had is that I'm a morning person, she's a night person..lol. We'd try to watch a movie in the hotel room, and within the hour, I'd be asleep...
I'd wake up at 1 or 2am to pee..and there would be Linda sitting on the floor, watching TV..gluing or putting things together
to take to the show the next morning.
So while she was here visiting we of course went to our favorite breakfast place,,,of course went to Michael's for supplies, hung out at the mall some and talked lots! The hardest part is always saying "good-bye"..I'm not good at it, never have been and never will be! She & I are both "criers"....so you can imagine the scene. Both our husbands tease us about it..but it's rough..
Linda I miss you, and I'm so grateful you are my friend!
