Another Year Flew By....and My Ramblings

Here we are at the end of 2009! I have learned a lot over the last year, about creative processes, people and life in general. It's true, we are never to old to learn! This year I became a "Senior Citizen"....LOL, and I took my first discount :)...I cannot even tell you how hard it was to get the words out,
"I am a Senior"..I about choked on the words :)..I don't feel any different inside than I did when I was younger..but looking in the mirror reminds me..LOL
As far as being Creative, I struggled a bit this year, I'm trying to develop
a little different style. I'm on the right track, finally, and hope to get some new creations done very soon..Lots of sketches done!
My Daughter moved out and in with her B/F in '09...Nice to see her really happy,
and nice to have an empty nest! Awwww what to do with her room :)!
My lil Grandson will be a year old in a week or so, I miss him as much as ever,
and Christmas is hard for me with my Son & Family living in Colorado..You Mom's
out there will understand :)...
I'm not making any New Years Resolutions this year, What's the point, I
never keep them anyway! All I know is I want 2010 to be my best year , in terms
of creativity! I am the happiest when I am creating (aside from seeing my Grandson)....I love sitting in my work room for hours on end and working.
I Love that weird little world my mind slips away to when I'm creating.
My Husband, who is semi-retired, doesn't "get" that place, but at least
respects my need to create, which is all I've asked :)..
My best Friend still lives in Idaho, where she moved to, 2 or 3 years ago,
I can't even remember how long now..and even though we talk a lot on the phone,
I still miss her very much :(....But she has met new friends finally and I'm happy for her, but boy do I miss our breakfasts out, looking at each others new work,
and her going to shows with me!
I've met lots of new online friends who are fellow artists this year, and I'm grateful for them, and for my "old" friends as well...LOL...and you know who you are!
So From the bottom of my heart..I'd like to Wish You All.......
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hugs,
Candy

And the Stockings were Hung....(On The Entertainment Center)

Just a few more days and it will be Christmas again...Where has the year gone?!
The tamales are made, the presents are wrapped and under the tree. Our 11 yr Old Grandaughter is here with us for a few days...Today She & I will make some Chocolate-Peanut Butter Fudge, and I will help her finish the Angel she is making for her Mom :)..
My Son and his family that live in Colorado won't be able to make it out this year.
This will be my Grandson's First Christmas, and It's killing me! However, I will be going there for his 1st Birthday next month..:)
We will have lots of Family here for Christmas though, and 3 of the 9 Grandkids :)..
To All my Internet Friends, Customers, Followers of my Blog..I'd Like to Wish You All.....A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

On Ebay

I just listed these 2 Gourd pieces on Ebay!
The top picture is another of my classic Santa/Snowmen Gourds
with clay attached for the features..I used red metallic paint for Santa's hat and the Snowman's mouth.
The bottom piece is my "Harley Dude"! As you know we are Harley owners, and I've made these in the past for gifts to our Riding buddies.
Every year I make one to sell, also. He has lots of detail, from the outline of his motorcycle jacket, silver snaps, Harley belt buckle and silver Wings on his back with the letters "HD" :)...
You can see both these pieces on ebay!

Harvest Festival is Over & I'm Tired......................

Well that's it for another year!
The show went very well and I was very pleased with my sales!
This is a picture of my booth, I actually remembered to bring my camera
this year..LOL
It's a super nice show and has a very Festive appearance, with roaming entertainment & good food..I stayed at the Sheraton Fairplex right next door to the show, and that's always a pleasure!
A BIG "Thank You" & Hugs to David (Chicken Lips) for sitting in my booth for
me so I could run out and grab something to eat or see a bit of the show!
