Here's your Sign...(Ok, it's my sign)

I made this sign for myself to use at shows.

I like to recycle stuff, so it's always a challenge for me to use the things I've saved..LOL

This sign is made from boards from an old crate that I took apart. I base coated them dark blue,

then added crackle medium and a top coat of off white. The letters are Tim Hotz's "Grunge Board". If you havent used it, you must try it, awesome stuff. The wings, and the "Hinges" are also grunge board. I added a bit of purple ink over the whole sign.

I think I still need to add something around the Moon..But I'm pretty pleased with the way this turned out!

Ornies, Ornies, Ornies

I bought a awesome wire tree so I'm making tons of Ornies to hang on it!
Some of these are styrofoam balls i've covered with clay, some are gourds..
I have lots more to make!

A New Week........

As most of you all know , last week was NOT one of my better weeks, to say the least!
However the wonderful thing about a new day is the chance to start over, to start fresh.
This week my attitude and Outlook is different. The course of Events last week still saddens me,
as I am a Libra whose symbol is the scales..Balance & Justice. But it's time to move on :)..
This week I've kept myself busy creating which is very soul soothing for me. I also re-did my website, added some new items, and am happy with the new colors, very uplifting :)..
I'm a firm believer that the saying "Everything Happens for A Reason" is true.
So I shall move forward, and not let last weeks ugliness marr my normaly positive outlook
on Life and everyday Living..

Hotter than You-Know-What, On Sunday Sept 7th

Holy Cow..105 degrees on the patio..about that in my work room and as fast as I'm melting, that's how fast my clay is drying as i'm trying to work. Picture this if you will..LOL:
A middle aged, "plump" woman wearing shorts and a tank top. My hair pulled up in the back with a clippie..my make up has long slid off my face from the heat..My glasses are trying to slip away..Hot Diet coke in one hand..a gourd in the other..trying to make something, just about anything will do, at this point. Pretty picture ,huh?!..LOL I want to go jump in the pool, but my Husband is out in the Sun painting our house..So i will refrain from the pool till he is done.(Besides the ladder is blocking my way out!)..At this point i'm wondering why we decided to live in the Desert..LOL..
Well gotta run..I heard the paint brush hit the patio table and a proclaimation of "I'm done for the day"..So I'm jumping in the pool and I may stay there until it's time to post next weekend, and hopefully i can think of something "Profound" to say between now & then!
