It's 80 degrees outside, here in Southern California..My Huge Wisteria has 100's of blossoms just starting to open, my Bird of Paradise is coming back to life, Palm Trees have new fronds...Spring is definitely in the Air..
I should be outside planting some annuals, doing some patio clean up, cleaning my pool..soaking up the beautiful day! But noooo, not me...I am inside in my sloppy clothes painting away..trying to meet deadlines! I have paint in my hair (I don't know how that happens)...The doorbell rang and it was a rather nice looking man who needed to change the Electric Meter in my back yard...So I put my Dog in the house , and as I was walking to the side gate to let the guy in..It dawned on me I didn't even brush my hair yet!
I am so sick of bunnies, chicks and eggs I could scream..and Easter is still at least 3 weeks away. I'm tired of Pastel Colors to..LOL..At first I was really diggin' the light colors for a change..now I'm ready to head straight into Halloween...the black, orange, green..purple, all the dark rich colors.
My arthritis in my hand is killing me from smoothing clay..my work room looks like a bomb went off..and I'm restless as all hell :)
Spring Fever maybe?...could be..I think I need a break...LOL..but can't afford the time to do so..Not for 2 weeks...
So I sit here and I wonder why on Earth we do this to ourselves..and I know I'm not the only one..LOL

Hi Candy!
I had to laugh when I read this. We've had a glorious day today - sunny and warm, and what was I doing?
Sewing sewing sewing.
I have no idea why we do this...when you figure it out, will you let me know?
Save some of that weather for me! :)
Hi Pam!
LOL, yep..I'll let ya know when I figure it out..I force myself to stop and sit outside every other day for about 20 minutes..I figure I need the vitamin D :)

Oh Candy!! You said it BEST!! We do torture ourselves...but we also do love what we do, even when it causes us pain.
I have days like that and lately, well I have that "I don't give a shi*t attitude and am not working on anything! And that is that. Why, maybe spring fever, maybe the economy, maybe just sick of it all...for awhile.
I will be back to normal in no time...but just had to be a REBEL for a while.
I too want to work on Halloween things...don't know why, but I do.
Have a good week and get some of that Vit. D.
Hugs,
~Tonya (who relates all too well)
Hi Tonya..
LOL, I sort have had that same attitude coming on :)..Mid April I'm doing NOTHING at least for a week! My Sister is coming for a visit, so maybe we'll sit outside with Margarita in hand and enjoy my Blooming Wisteria :)
You're right...WE Love what we do!
I really hope you're enjoying your " Rebel" phase..:)..You deserve it!
Candy
LOL!!! You're too funny! Sounds like someone needs a nice glass of wine. I'll be over with the bottle just as soon as I can!
LOL David...
Soon as we both arent so busy...I'm heading to your house and we'll put away a bottle or 2..:)

I don't know about anyone else, but I know exactly why I do this....Because if I didn't, I'd have to get a REAL job (perish the thought, lol!)
Happy creating ;)

HI Carolee...
LOL..Yes you are right! and I agree "perish the thought"!...There are moments of desperation when I think that's what I'll have to do....but those moments pass quickly :)

Yes, Candy but like the hours better and no one else to mess with me. I have been feeling that way and especially want to make halloween and very badly. Really been itching to try new things. But have to make bunnie, chicks and lighter things for the moment. Torture? Some days. I have enough time off and now to work although I got no rest! LOL
Hugs,Pea
Hi Pea...
Yeah..I like that I can work in my sweats or jammies if I want..LOL
I think the hours are longer, working at home..but for sure it has it perks :)
Hugs
